RYZQ

Summary

RYZQ is a Malaysia-first mobile platform that turns restaurant and café surplus into either deeply discounted meals for everyday buyers or free meals for people in need — funded by a community Pay-It-Forward (PIF) pool. Merchants list end-of-day surplus at a 30%, 50%, or 70% discount, and users can either buy it for themselves, gift it into the public PIF pool, or claim a meal already paid for by someone else. Built on Flutter and Firebase with HitPay DuitNow QR payments, the MVP runs at near-zero infrastructure cost for the first 5,000–10,000 users and is governed by seven psychological safeguards that keep giving frictionless and claiming dignified but intentional. Launching in Sungai Petani, Kedah in 2026, RYZQ aims to prove that food rescue, community generosity, and merchant economics can co-exist in a single, sustainable loop.

Problems & Solutions

Problem

Edible food is thrown away daily while people go hungry.

Charity feels transactional and undignified for recipients.

Giving platforms usually add friction to generosity.

Open free-meal systems get abused.

Small merchants can't afford new tech overhead.

Impact is invisible, so generosity fades.

Solution

A surplus marketplace where merchants list leftover meals with one tap at a fixed 30/50/70% discount, time-triggered automatically.

A Public PIF Pool where anyone can claim a free meal already paid for by a stranger — with a mandatory gratitude loop, anonymised giver visibility, and a 5-second reflection pause that preserves dignity on both sides.

Gifting (Action C) is zero-friction and instant — same flow as buying for yourself, just one tap to redirect the meal to the public pool.

Seven psychological anti-abuse mechanics — progressive wait times, household declaration with caps (max 10 claims/day), rescue-streak identity, scarcity counters, and transition nudges that reframe heavy claimers as future givers.

Partner Lite Dashboard via mobile web (no install), HitPay DuitNow QR payments at 0.9% with no fixed or monthly cost, and T+3 automatic payouts. Merchants only see one number that matters: revenue earned + lives impacted.

A three-tier Wall of Kindness — a private feed where the giver sees the recipient's anonymous thank-you note, a global feed celebrating the community, and (in v1.1) an institutional dashboard for partners like LZNK.

Project Goals

Merchant viability

Onboard 15–20 active partners with 70%+ weekly re-listing, proving the surplus model produces recoverable revenue rather than just feel-good charity.

Frictionless generosity, dignified claiming

hip and QA-verify all seven psychological mechanics before public launch, keeping abuse rates under 2% of total claims.

Zero-cost validation

Run the entire 90-day MVP within Firebase Spark, Vercel Hobby, and SendGrid free tiers — RM 0 in infrastructure cost.

Revenue proof point

Hit 8% RYZQ Plus subscriber conversion among active claimers by Day 90, validating that the subscription tier can fund the loss-leader free-claim pool at scale.

LZNK readiness

Produce clean exportable impact data (meals rescued, PIF gifts, CO₂ saved) to open Zakat-body conversations for v1.1 Asnaf pool integration.

Density before promotion

Hold consumer marketing until 10+ active listings are live within 5km of the Sungai Petani launch zone, ensuring first-time users always see a working list.

Build for trust, not virality

No map, no AI, no Asnaf pool in MVP — every deferred feature is one less surface for failure on launch day.
